National Diploma in Extractive Industries - Site Management with strands in Surface Extraction and Underground Extraction

Level 5  Credits 154 or 229

This qualification is designed for managers who are situated on site at a surface or underground extraction site or for graduates with a tertiary qualification who are working in the extractives industry.

This qualification is part of a pathway that begins with the National Certificate in Extractive Industries - Introductory Skills, the National Certificate in Extractive Industries – Operations (Level 3), the National Certificates in Extractive Industries Supervision (Levels 4 & 5) and culminates in the National Diploma in Extractive Industries - Management.

This qualification can be completed at any stage within this pathway to meet individual and company needs.

Surface Extraction includes quarries, open cast coal and gold mines, lime mills, alluvial gold extraction, iron sands, and industrial minerals. Underground Extraction includes metalliferous and coal underground mines and tunnels.
