This qualification is designed for a weighbridge operator who works in the extractive industries.
This qualification can lead on to the National Certificates in Extractive Industries - Operations (
Levels 3 &
4).
Surface Extraction includes quarries, open cast coal and gold mines, lime mills, alluvial gold extraction, iron sands, and industrial minerals.
Underground Extraction includes metalliferous and coal underground mines and tunnels.
Pre-requisite: National Certificate in Extractive Industries - Introductory Skills
