National Certificate in Extractive Industries - Sand

Level 4  Credits 67

This National Certificate is designed for an experienced senior operator who works in the sand sector of the extractive industries.

The compulsory section of this qualification recognises the skills and knowledge related to procedures to minimise environmental impact at an extraction site.

This qualification may be assessed concurrently with the National Certificate in Extractive Industries – Sand (Level 3) and can be part of a pathway that includes the National Certificates in Extractive Industries - Operations (Levels 3 & 4).

Surface Extraction includes quarries, open cast coal and gold mines, lime mills, alluvial gold extraction, iron sands, and industrial minerals. Underground Extraction includes metalliferous and coal underground mines and tunnels.

Pre-requisite: National Certificate in Extractive Industries – Sand (Level 3)
