National Certificate in Extractive Industries - Underground Mines Rescue

Level 4 Credits 63

This qualification is designed for skilled underground miners who are able to undertake additional responsibilities in underground mines rescue operations, as a Mines Rescue Brigadesman. Mines Rescue Brigadesmen are capable of being part of a team carrying out all emergency response tasks related to mines rescue.

This qualification may be a pathway to other extractive industries qualifications, including the National Diploma in Extractive Industries – Management.

Entry into programmes of education and training in preparation for assessment against standards in this qualification is open to persons who are skilled in underground mining. Some of the standards included in this qualification have prerequisites.
