National Certificate in Extractive Industries - Land Operations Using Explosives

Level 3 Credits 55-65

This qualification recognises the skills of operators such as agricultural workers, seismic blasters, conservation workers, or firewood contractors who have blasting on land responsibilities.

The qualification has a significant health and safety component in recognition of the hazards associated with the extractive environment and blasting responsibilities.

Although this qualification is not part of a specific pathway, it is expected that holders will hold, or be working towards a qualification such as the National Certificates in Extractive Industries – Operations (Level 3 or 4) or qualifications related to their field of work.
