You must hold a current First Aid Certificate.

When you have met the following requirements you can then make an application to EXITO. This CoC needs to be renewed every 3 years.

Certificate of Competence as a Gas Tester

(1) The holder of a certificate of competence as a gas tester must have passed the unit standard above.

(2) The holder of a certificate of competence as a gas tester must satisfy the secretary that:

(a) he or she is the holder of a current first aid certificate; and

(b) he or she has had at least 3 months’ work experience in testing for gas.
