National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations

Level 2  Credits 48

This National Certificate is designed for people in the gas transmission sector of the gas industry to ensure all those working in the sector have the basic health and safety, industry knowledge, and driving skills to be safe at work. The qualification is aimed primarily at those entering the industry, and is relevant to the whole sector. It also provides evidence of competence for people who carry out non-gas-related work within the gas transmission network but who are not employed in the gas transmission industry.

People who have completed this qualification can continue a career pathway onto the National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety - Workplace Safety (Level 3) and one or more of the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Pipeline (Level 3), the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Mechanical (Level 3) or the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Instrumentation and Electrical (Level 3).

These qualifications staircase to the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Mechanical (Level 4) or the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations Instrumentation and Electrical (Level 4).
