National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Pipeline

Level 3  Credits 50

This National Certificate is designed for people working on and around underground gas pipelines in the transmission sector of the gas industry and is primarily aimed at those who maintain and operate these pipelines.

The qualification contains optional standards that are not required for the award of the certificate. However, they may be considered necessary in some employment contexts.

People who have completed this National Certificate can continue a career pathway onto the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Mechanical (Level 3 and 4).

Special Notes
To ensure the level of skill required to work safely in the gas transmission environment, the sector requires people to hold the National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety - Workplace Safety (Level 3) prior to the award of this qualification.

It is recommended that people seeking award of this qualification have achieved prior award of the National Certificate in Gas Transmission Operations - Level 2 or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.
