This qualification is for people who drive goods service vehicles carrying solid waste and recoverable resources. It builds on the knowledge and skills acquired from completion of the National Certificate in Driving - Light Motor Vehicle, the National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport - Introductory Skills, or the National Certificate in Goods Service - Core Skills.
This qualification does not permit the holder to drive a vehicle on New Zealand roads. To legally drive a motor vehicle the driver must be the holder of a current full driver licence applicable to the class of vehicle being used, issued by the NZ Transport Agency.
