Passenger Endorsement


Description
You need a P endorsement if you drive a small or large passenger service vehicle where passengers are carried for hire or reward.

You do not need a P endorsement if you drive in an exempt passenger service or are exempt by the Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999.

Duration
1 day
2 days with logbook - if logbook has not been completed within the last 12 months

Occupancy
Maximum of 10

Pre-requisite
You must have held the appropriate full class of licence for at least two years in the vehicle for which the endorsement is required.

Medical Certificate - If you have presented one for other licenses or endorsements in the last five years, you only need to sign a declaration at the testing centre. Otherwise, you need to get a new one and it must not be more than 60 days old.

Notice of Determination – You are required to get Fit and Proper Person Check from your Local Licencing Agent. This can take between 6 and 8 weeks to complete.
