National Certificate in Driving Light Motor Vehicle

Level 2 Credits 41

This National Certificate is designed to raise the quality and standard of driving in New Zealand. The qualification recognises that the holder has knowledge and skills for safe and competent driving of light motor vehicles. Designed for people with a Class 1 driver licence, this qualification has a simple format, and focuses on the knowledge and skills required of a person driving a light motor vehicle.

This qualification does not permit the holder to drive a light motor vehicle on New Zealand roads. To drive a light motor vehicle legally the driver must be the holder of the appropriate current driver licence of the Class for the vehicle. Land Transport New Zealand (LTNZ) issues driver licences.
