National Diploma in Business Administration

Level 5 Credits 120

This national diploma is designed to recognise the competence, knowledge, and skills required for people to plan and co-ordinate business administration and provide business administration services in a wide range of business and organisational contexts.

Although the National Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4) is not a prerequisite, this diploma builds on the skills and knowledge recognised by it. This qualification can lead to more specialised qualifications in the Business, and Computing and Information Technology fields or other diplomas developed by NZQA.
 
ELECTIVE LIST 1: A minimum of 79 credits from the following sets.
 
SET 1: A minimum of 40 credits from any Domain in the following Subfield;
Business Administration

SET 2: A minimum of 30 credits from any Domain in the following Subfields;
Business Environment
Business Operations and Development

SET C: A minimum of 9 credits from any Domain in the following Subfield;
Communication Skills

 
ELECTIVE LIST 2: The balance of credits to achieve a minimum of 120 credits at Level 4 or above, of which a minimum of 72 credits at Level 5 or above, may come from the following the following Domains;
Business/Any
Computing/Any
Adult Education and Training/Any
Educational Administration/Any
Generic Education and Training/Assessment of Learning
Occupational Health and Safety/Occupational Health and Safety Practice or Workplace Health and Safety Management
Māori Business and Management/Any
Service Sector Skills/ Any
