This National Certificate is a qualification for people engaged in adult education and training. The qualification has been designed for people with diverse backgrounds and experience who are seeking a general qualification in the adult education and training field.

This qualification may lead on from the recommended prerequisite, the National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 4). Credit gained for this qualification may be used towards meeting the requirements of the National Diploma in Adult Education and Training (Level 5).

ELECTIVE: A minimum of 56 credits, of which a minimum of 40 credits is at level 5 or above, is required from the following groups.

Group A: A minimum of 22 credits is required from the following domains as specified.

Design and Development of Adult Education and Training – Min. 6 credits
Evaluation in Adult Education and Training - Min. 4 credits
Delivery of Adult Education and Training – Min. 8 credits
Assessment of Learning - Min. 4 credits

Group B: A minimum of 34 credits required from the following Subfield/Domains.

Adult Education and Training/ Any Domain
